What to ask a rigging company before you hire
- Have they moved your machine type and weight before, and do they own the gear (gantry, skates, forklifts, cranes) or rent it?
- Proof of insurance, including rigger's liability or cargo coverage that matches the value of the machine.
- A written plan covering disconnect, route, floor load, loading, transport, placement and leveling.
- Whether permits, escorts and utility disconnects are included or billed separately.
- Your state's contractor license requirements, if the job includes installation work.
